I installed Eclipse for Windows 7 64 bit OS. Everything works perfect. But when ever I wanted to see methods which are coupled with a particular object by pressing Ctrl + Space, I get nothing but "no Default Proposals"..

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Create an instance of a class
1. [instance of a class].
2. press "Ctrl + Space"
3. No Default Proposals

Did you try using a new workspace?

I suspect you upgraded and use the existing workspace (fine), but forgot to also add Mylyn.

1. Go to the Java > Editor > Content Assist > Advanced
2. click 'Restore to Defaults'
3. click 'OK'
