The test 

jpa/eclipselink.jpa.wdf.test
- TestConditionalExpressions
  - testBetweenHandling1
  - testBetweenHandling4
  - testBetweenHandling8
  - testBetweenHandling11
- TestGroupByOrderByHaving
  - testGroupBy1 
  - testGroupBy2

fail to detect an invalid query. This is intended and as the type checking has been loosened. The test have got to be adapted to assert that the query under test is valid.

Moreover, the test 
- TestBuiltInFunctionsExpressions
  - testConcatHandling3
  - testUpperHandling42
  - testLengthHandling50

are skipped currently but can be altered to assert that the query under test is valid.
