Whiteboard:

Description Karsten Thoms CLA 2010-05-06 15:52:03 EDT
Steps to reproduce:
- create a file in a git controlled project
- open context menu on project root
- select commit

=> Dialog appears "No files to commit", since the file has not been added to the repository

Expected: All unversioned files below the selected folder will be added automatically and proposed to commit. This is the same behavior as in subversive. It is tedious to add each single file before committing. When commit is selected on some folder I assume that each modified or new file is about to be committed. If I don't want that for some files then I can deselect them in the next dialog step, and revert the adding via the "Remove from repository" action later.

Which version do you have installed? You should now be able to see untracked files in the dialog. You may wish to try a nightly build.

I had installed 0.6.0.201003051509.

Now I have updated to 0.8.0.201005042126. The "Show untracked Files" does the job in principle, although not that smooth. I'll open seperate requests.

Karsten, please provide your feedback on how to improve the workflow and the commit dialog on bug 310128.

Thanks!
