Description Silver Zachara CLA 2010-05-04 19:16:51 EDT
Hi dev,

I have tried JSDT which is in the Galileo and now I have tried Eclipse Helios M7 and install WTP M7 with Dojo 1.4.x, but without any success.

Any code assist ( only Dojo 1.3.x is partialy builded and there is some CA in Galileo and in Helios too ).

I will not attach exceptions or screenshots of modal dialogs which are showed during build, because it's very easy to reproduce.

Create JS or Web project, import Dojo 1.4.x library, create JS file ( or HTML file with <script> tag ) and try CA.

Here is live presentation how it should works, it's exactly from 21min:

Are any plans to fix this in WTP 3.2 GA ? ( I hope that are :( )
Comment 1 Chris Jaun CLA 2010-05-10 18:05:24 EDT
It looks like the InferenceEngine is not identifying 'dojo' as a type in the 1.4.x builds.

Not sure why yet.

Hi,

Could be 3.2.1, but we must wait for fix :(, so 3.2.2 is better then 3.3 :)
Comment 3 Chris Jaun CLA 2010-09-14 16:08:15 EDT
We are about 85% there in getting this to work. The fix will definitely be in 3.2.3.

Just wanted to give a quick update.

Hi Eclipse developers,

could you please provide an update on this issue?

I am currently using Eclipse Helios SR1 and Dojo Library v1.5.
When editing JavaScript files in a JS project in Eclipse, auto-complete windows always shows up empty whenever I press Ctrl+Space on a "dojo." code piece.

Cheers
Dmitry

The same problem exists with the latest JSDT 3.2.6 build (wtp-repo-M-3.2.3-20101202075244.zip)
Comment 9 Dmitry Balzer CLA 2010-12-14 12:28:26 EST
Typo: "3.2.6" should be "3.2.3"
Comment 10 Silver Zachara CLA 2010-12-14 15:05:39 EST
So Target Milstone 3.2.3 doesn't match, pls dev team update this.

When do you plan fix this issue?
Comment 11 Dmitry Balzer CLA 2010-12-15 07:17:29 EST
Eclipse Indigo M3 exhibits the same issue.
Any updates please?
Comment 12 Peter CLA 2011-03-13 09:45:01 EDT
Hi, devs,
is there any update or plan to fix this issue?
Comment 13 Nitin Dahyabhai CLA 2011-04-28 00:18:32 EDT
Will try to resume progress in 3.3.1. Performance/scalability is taking priority.
Comment 14 Martin Vlk CLA 2011-07-08 08:32:15 EDT
+1 on this!

We have been using JSDT for some time now with great success even with just the basic functionality. If Dojo classes and all was recognized that would be great.

Cheers
Martin

Hi, my point of view is the same ;), we need more votes.

But Nitin Dahyabhai wrote: "Performance/scalability is taking priority." :(

I also need this!
Currently NetBeans seems a better bet for Javascript developement.

Keep doing the good job!
