Download this build (or any recent build) of Eclipse 3.6. Unpack it and select Eclipse.app. Choose File -> Get Info or hit cmd-I.

Expected:

Version reads 3.6 (optimally, it shows the build ID, but at the very least it should have the right major.minor version.)

Actual:

Version reads 3.5, with a 2008 copyright date.

I think this goes either to Equinox launcher or PDE. Moving it to PDE as I see a info.plist in o.e.pde.core (though its an outdated one)

I raised byg 311748, the copy in pde.core is used during export.  Eclipse itself uses a copy from org.eclipse.equinox.executable.

Tom, I accidently released the carbon info.plist files with these changes when trying to change them from binary to ascii files in cvs.
