Description DJ Houghton CLA 2010-05-04 11:57:53 EDT
See bug 275274.

We have a case where on start-up people are sometimes seeing messages in the log like:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.p2.directorywatcher 4 0 2009-05-07 16:41:33.843
!MESSAGE The installable unit some.bundleid.translated_host_properties is missing the filename property.

In bug 275274 we changed the code so these messages would only print out when you are in debug mode. We feel this is a safe change because in the cases we've seen it is only happening when the reconciler is generating the metadata and in these case the filename property is not needed.

We need to come up with a simple reproducible scenario for this to better understand why it is happening.

I have opened bug 312668 to address the IU fragment attachment problem for 3.6.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
