Linda, any ideas on this one?
Comment 7 Linda Chan CLA 2010-05-04 16:36:50 EDT
Based on the stack trace, the exception occurs while exporting/saving selected profiles to a specified file:

Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: W:\TVTresources\DTP\TVT_Test_DTP\FlatFile.csv (Access is denied.)
	at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:205)
	at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:157)
	at org.eclipse.datatools.connectivity.internal.ConnectionProfileMgmt.saveCPs(ConnectionProfileMgmt.java:197)

Perhaps there is no write access permission to the file: W:\TVTresources\DTP\TVT_Test_DTP\FlatFile.csv ?

Note that you should not be saving the connection profiles in the FlatFile.csv data file anyway, even if you have write access permission, as it will get overwritten. You should have specified a new file name instead to store the selected profiles.

Marking this as resolved. Feel free to reopen if there are other issues still.

Further clarification...
perhaps there is no access permission to create a file in the specified folder:
W:\TVTresources\DTP\TVT_Test_DTP ?

The problem still persists. I have tried taking a copy of the FlatFile.csv from the W: directory, and putting a fresh copy on a test computer in various ways to try this, but its still coming up with the problem. We are using the test FlatFile.csv file that was given to us for the TVT test cases and these are the steps outlined specifically in the TVT test cases, the file ODA_Connection_Profile_TVT_Test to be exact. I have tried this on a Windows 7 and now a Windows XP machine and neither time it works. Maybe something in the steps are wrong, but several people including myself are still coming up with this error.

Thanks.

This has been identified as a user problem. It should be fixed now. Please retry this test case, and if you have any trouble, please contact myself or Kathy Li.
