Description Zhongwei Zhao CLA 2010-05-03 22:04:14 EDT
after adding the file extension to the php content type through preference page, and then IFile.getContentDescription() still return null, but I think IFile.getContentDescription() should not return null.

Is it a bug,or do I do something wrong?
Comment 1 Szymon Brandys CLA 2010-05-12 08:25:01 EDT
According to IFile#getContentDescription javadoc, null can be returned, if a description cannot be obtained.

To investigate the issue, I need more details. What Eclipse version do you use? What plug-ins are installed on top of it? Is it reproducible always, or just happens occasionally?

configuration

eclipse 3.6m6+wtp+gef+emf....

And I launch the pdt from source code, when I try to fix bug 279070,I found this.
I think it always happens, not sure about this, but I think most of time when I do as what I said in description. Thanks for your quick reply and your time!

I am not able to reproduce this. If you can still reproduce it using Eclipse Luna SR1 (4.4.1), please reopen and provide detailed steps how to reproduce the problem. Thanks!
