Description Steffen Pingel CLA 2010-04-30 16:22:54 EDT
Some items are displayed in a gray font but there is no indication as to why (verification failed?). See screenshot for an example.

Good point: these items are no longer grayed out however items that cannot be installed have the 'Install' button disabled. That should be a little more intuitive. What do you think?

Is there any indication as to why the install button is disabled? It would be nice if we could display a warning image next to the button in that case.

What would the warning icon do? Provide tooltip text, or click to popup an error message? Perhaps it would be better to just render a 'learn more' link instead?

A tooltip makes sense to me. That would be similar to the behavior error annotations in Eclipse.

I think that would be confusing since learn more links to a browser page in other cases.

The Xtext download is also shown with an inactive 'install' button. Without any error message I don't know what's wrong and am not able to fix it. When clicking the install button on the web site everything works as expected. Any ideas?

Sven, the button is disabled for Xtext due to bug 313004 (composite p2 repository), which has been fixed in the latest MPC. I've just tried it and the install button for Xtext is now enabled. Please let me know if you continue to experience problems.

Buttons should no longer be grayed out.
