Some requests take in excess of 1 minute to complete.  The marketplace API should be responsive.  Ideally each request can be fully handled within 250ms.
The lengthy response time has only started recently, which makes me think something has changed.

raising severity to blocker, since it's unusable and the site occasionally says it's offline.  This issue is blocking my progress on MPC development, and as such meets the criteria for blocker: *Prevents function from being used, no work-around, blocking progress on multiple fronts*

Performance seems normal now, but im cc'ing webmaster just so they are aware.

One of our internal routers was misbehaving.  I has since been kicked.  Does this solve the problem?
