ImageLoader should warn on is documentation that it is not the most efficient way to create images. Due to API limitations ImageLoader does not provide the best performance for creating images. Moreover it deceives developers to be lighter weight. See http://www.gorkem-ercan.com/2010/03/use-imageloader-with-extra-caution.html for more details.
