Using Chrome 5.0.346.0 (40813) on Ubuntu, the testTextAreaMaxLength fails.

 testTextAreaMaxLength failed:
Assert "16", type "assertEquals" failed : Expected "5" but found "8"

Fixed. Also solves some minor trouble with ie.
