Description
Raghunathan Srinivasan
Although this is a a big problem, it does have an easy workaround that can be used until we fixed all the bugs comming from the late P2 changes. To workaround the problem you can use the Help -> Install New Software..., then add a repository by using the URL for your server adapter. Although this is not ideal for 3.2 there is still changes that will be comming from P2 that may even break us further. I also wanted to note that this is not something that just started to occur, we have playing catchup with the P2 changes that have been comming in through the last two weeks. Some were more noticiable than other as it required code updates that would had broken the build, but this latest changes seem to now be affecting functionality in a few different places. We shouldn't hold from declaring M6 because the 'Download additional server adapters' function is not working. *** Bug 307431 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Please note that this item depends on 305731 being fixed. With 305731 fixed, I had to committ a few changes to get things working. I am now able to get through the wizard as I used in the past. But new downloaded server adapters don't seem to be getting integrated into the install. Need to look deeper to determine if it is a problem with the particular server adapter or it is still our code. Changes released to HEAD I tested the latest changes the plugin does seem to download, but because I am running in selfhosting the plugin doesn't get installed correctly. There seems to be a bug with the option for allowing installation features in selfhosting mode. For some reason I wasn't able to patch my build either. So I am releasing the changes counting in the fact that I debug the code carefully and I saw things getting downloaded. Will retry once there is a build available. For now I am marking this as a resolved, but will reopen if the problem is not fixed Tested on I-3.2.0-20100407054835 and I was able to download glassfish server adapter.
