I think it would be useful to have a redirect for /git to /egit on www.eclipse.org. It should be easier for "outsiders" to find the Eclipse Git tooling, i.e. not all people might know that "EGit" is what they are looking for and some might simply try "www.eclipse.org/git" in their browser.

Well, folks could be looking for our Git repos, too.  How about I redirect eclipse.org/git to wiki.eclipse.org/Git ?
