We will provide a container for integrating OpenSocial gadgets into the Eclipse platform. This will allow rapid assembly and customization of applications by drawing from the large library of available OpenSocial gadgets.

Some progress was made in this area, and a basic OpenSocial gadget container is available in the e4 July 2010 release. However it is still alpha quality so this plan item was marked deferred.
