Description Tim Buschtoens CLA 2010-01-29 11:59:48 EST
If drag-and-dropping list-itmes in the Examples-Demo relatively fast, the items can vanish, appearing neither left nor right.
Comment 1 Tim Buschtoens CLA 2010-02-01 11:48:24 EST
There are two ways this can happen:
1. See Bug 301434
2. The Item is droppen while a request is pending.
Comment 2 Tim Buschtoens CLA 2010-02-01 12:21:20 EST
There seems to be third cause. Even with both bugs fixed, it is still possible to "loose" an item but dragging it very fast and dropping it outside the list. It is very rare, you'll need to repeat it about a hundred times before it "works". The problem seems to be more likely in IE than in other browser, but it can happen in all of them.
Comment 3 Tim Buschtoens CLA 2010-02-02 11:05:16 EST
The third cause has been identified: See Bug 301544

fix

Applies values to drop-events that are already queued.
Comment 5 Tim Buschtoens CLA 2010-02-02 12:24:53 EST
Great! Even with all 3 fixes, it still seems somehow possible to loose an item, but please don't ask me how! Just click around with the mouse like a homicidal maniac, and afer a few minutes it's bound to happen.

This is just for the record. Until a reliable way to reproduce this is found, i would ignore it.
Comment 6 RĂ¼diger Herrmann CLA 2010-02-02 14:25:03 EST
Applied patch to CVS HEAD.
I will close this bug despite comment #5. If found, the "homicidal maniac" may file a new issue.
