if there are many classes opened the width of a tab is quite small and i can't 
see any classname, just the first letters....
it would be better to show the full class name, in addition there is just one 
row of tabs, i prefer more than 1 row....so at least it would be nice to make 
this configurable....

Full file names can be set by the user.
Window>Preferences>Workbench>Editors>Tab Compression = None.

You may also wish to enable the dropDown on the same page.  Other points will 
be tracked by bug 22716

i cannot find the tab compression combobox in the 2.1 realease :-(
