Build Identifier: 20090920-1017

Installed eclipse [as root] on Fedora 12 with Sun Java x86_64. Ran eclipse [as user] and available sites is completely empty, cannot do updates or install additional components.

Well, regardless of where you got Eclipse from, the problem is ultimately caused by bug 249133.
