We've upgraded the build server's OS, and we've provisioned new Hudson servers. Xvnc _should_ be reasonably up-to-date, so I'll close this as fixed. Please reopen if I'm in left field. |
Dave Carver has asked that we allow Hudson to start Xvnc sessions and not require a password to connect to these sessions. It appears that this can be accomplished with the SecurityTypes=none option to Xvnc. The version of Xvnc on build.eclipse.org does not appear to have this option. I have spent 30+ minutes searching online and can't figure out when that option was introduced. I downloaded what I thought was the upstream source for Xvnc in SLES 10 but there is no Xvnc included therein. Is it possible to upgrade to a version of xorg-x11-Xvnc or tightvnc that has this option? Those packages have the following versions on build.eclipse.org as of this writing: > rpm -q xorg-x11-Xvnc tightvnc xorg-x11-Xvnc-6.9.0-50.60 tightvnc-1.2.9-201.17
