Description Tom Roche CLA 2003-01-15 13:49:54 EST
Often I want to create a file that's pretty much like an existing
file. E.g. at the moment I have file1 in package0 extends file0, and I
want to create file2 in package1 extends file1. I believe

* I am not alone: this is something others do

* rclick>Refactor>Clone on file1 would be way cool
Comment 1 Tom Roche CLA 2003-01-15 15:03:35 EST
This would be the composite of my current actions:

0 rclick (old file)>Copy

1 rclick (probably a different package)>Paste

2 rclick (new file)>Refactor>Rename

Step 2 might be unnecessary if different package (same name OK).
Step 2 would be mandatory if package did not change.
Comment 2 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2003-01-16 03:46:38 EST
Given the current schedule this will not make it for 2.1 without external help.
Comment 3 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2003-04-25 05:13:50 EDT
No action planned for 3.0 until we get external help
Comment 4 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2009-08-30 02:37:53 EDT
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
