No way to start eclipse on 64-bit jvm. "-vmArgs -d64" has no effect.

64 bit JVM is need to use huge heap (>3Gb), huge heap is vital to analyz huge heap dump from hprof.

Reproducible: Always

Updated OS field (no way to enter Solaris when filling bug)
Comment 2 John Arthorne CLA 2009-11-10 11:28:10 EST
We don't produce a 64-bit Solaris build today as far as I know. You can't run a 32-bit build of Eclipse with a 64-bit JVM.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 491517 ***
Comment 4 Arun Thondapu CLA 2016-05-26 06:22:57 EDT
The 64-bit support on SPARC has been provided in Neon (4.6) via bug 491517 and 32-bit eclipse builds are not available anymore.
