Here is a list of not installed files in our Debian package. Please let's discuss this list.
I think we need to actually do a proper installation of the SDK broken into platform and JDT/PDE before we can discuss this. I'll add dependent bugs. These should be installed: epl-v10.html about.html icon.xpm about_files/mpl-v11.txt about_files/IJG_README about_files/pixman-licenses.txt about_files/lgpl-v21.txt about_files/about_cairo.html notice.html readme/readme_eclipse.html The metadata can go but I don't see it in my installation directory. Is this bug still valid? I think we're good to go here other than icon.xpm. I'm going to re-name this bug to reflect that. Aside from some packaging.properties and .product files (I think), I also see references to icon.xpm in a few build.properties files. This work would be done best in conjunction with upstream Eclipse SDK releng. I'm closing the bug. Please open bugs against the components that include icon.xpm. Once it's not referenced from anywhere it will be gone from eclipse-build too. |
Created attachment 149690 [details] install.patch The install target copies the complete content of the installation directory but some files are not required. At least we can remove the xpm icon.
