Description

Added support for OpenDocument format (OpenOffice and other), including OpenDocument Text (ODT), OpenDocument Spreadsheet (ODS) and OpenDocument Presentation (ODP). Reopen this bug for build team to integrate to build. The target is 4.0.0, but we can also include it in 2.6.2 daily builds and include it in the final 2.6.2 download if we do not see much issue of the feature. Innovent Solutions has been working on an OpenDocument emitter at the Eclipse Labs project. We have a working version of the spread-sheet emitter located here: http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/birt-odt-emitter/ Looking at the source checked into CVS, it appears there is a significant amount of additional work required to make the ODT emitters (ODP, ODS, ODT) fully functional. Is there additional code for the ODF emitters that is not checked into CVS? From our stand-point it does not make sense to work on ODT at Eclipse Labs if it is finished and working in core. But we don't want to have to wait for Indigo to be able to use ODT, and we don't want to have a dependency on Indigo either since we would like to be able to use this with previous releases. Added into 4.0.0 N-build. Set as fixed. |
