We need to verify that it is possible to perform a change of configuration and that the proper hooks are in place so a UI could prompt a user.

The hooks are already present and we can build p2 enabled servletbridge products so no new code is needed. What we do need is a way to validate everything is working correctly.

Removing the target milestone. This use-case may already work and to validate
it's a matter of finding a product team that uses it.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
