Various OSGi specifications are actively being developed by the OSGi Alliance.  Equinox will participate in the specification process to provide our expertise in areas that apply to Equinox.  In many cases Equinox will provide an implementation of the new specification if the specification schedule aligns with the Equinox release schedule and we have Equinox community interest.

Moving to the next release.  The next release of the OSGi specification is scheduled to be done in time for the next release of Equinox in 2011.  We will need to continue tracking the specification in the next release.

Closing as fixed.  We have participated in a number of specifications for the R4.3 core and compendium releases

- Core Framework Update and all its glory :)
- New Coordinator service
- Updates to event admin
- Updates to metatype

And various other specifications.
