Mylyn supports a range of repository versions some of which have reached end of life. This causes overhead in terms of maintaining test infrastructure and in some cases requires workarounds in the implementation to maintain backwards compatibility. As discussed on the conference call on Sep 3rd 2009 official support for older repository versions will be ended. Older Mylyn versions will still be able to connect to these repositories and newer version may continue to work but will not be supported through the Mylyn project. The support page lists commercial providers that may offer official support for older repository versions: http://eclipse.org/mylyn/support/ .

In Mylyn 3.2.2 support for these repository versions will reach end of life:

 * Bugzilla < 3.0  (now supported: 3.0.8 - 3.4.1)
 * JIRA < 3.7  (now supported: 3.7.4 - 3.13.5)
 * Trac < 0.10  (now supported: 0.10.5 - 0.11.5)
 * XPlanner < 0.7b7  (now supported: 0.7b7)

As discussed on bug 355737 Mylyn 3.7 will support the following repositories:

* Bugzilla 3.4.12, 3.6.6, 4.0.2
*  Trac 0.11.7, 0.12.2
*  Hudson 2.1.2
*  Jenkins 1.427
*  Gerrit 2.2.1
