We will improve the tools for viewing and applying patches. This includes work such as applying patches using the synchronize view, improved browsing of hunks, and applying patches from a URL.

What about bug #71374? There has been a lot of work on it last year, but it suddenly stopped :-(

I agree that bug 71374 would a nice feature to have, but given our limited resources we're not able to fix all the issues no matter how cool they are. We haven't said that the work will not continue, but currently we have no manpower to address it. The branch is still there and patches will be accepted.

Bug 73683 - [Apply Patch] Add URL option Apply Patch dialog
Bug 236169 - Use Synchronize View for Apply Patch
and numerous bugs planned in this area for 3.6 were fixed. 

Bugs like Bug 71374 need a hand from the community.

Bug #215360 should be much more circumscribed than 71374... could you please have a look at it?
