Mylyn frequently synchronizes against repositories.  This causes frequent sync jobs to appear in the Progress view, and often those jobs get blamed for other Eclipse hangs.  We should both improve our scheduling rules and management for jobs, and consider better display of progress.

Sometimes Mylyn job progress indicator stays in the notification area forever making an impression that Mylyn hangs. I suppose a user would tend to blame Mylyn in this situation.
