I got into a situation that frooze my Eclipse. Here's how it happened:

- check out a project read-only
- create a new linked folder (done from the New Folder dialog)

The above will cause a change to the .project file which is read-only and must 
be "cvs edited". The "cvs edit" opens a progress monitor. When both the 
original dialog and the progress monitor are open, deadlock can (will?) occur.

The code has been changed to show a busy cursor. See bug 28218 for more details 
on what should be done about this in the future.
