Description Dénes Harmath CLA 2009-08-03 09:09:12 EDT
Build ID: I20090611-1540

org.eclipse.xtext.diagnostics.AbstractDiagnostic#getColumn() returns 1.
It should return the column location of the issue within the source line.
Comment 1 Sven Efftinge CLA 2009-11-23 03:46:34 EST
That method throws an UnsupportedOperationException for now, in order to better "communicate" the missing implementation.

Do you really need the column number or were you just surprised of the implementation?
Comment 2 Dénes Harmath CLA 2009-11-23 07:08:24 EST
Yes, the column number would be useful e.g. when unit testing the grammar.
Comment 3 Christian Dietrich CLA 2017-04-15 02:43:52 EDT
This was fixed with Xtext 2.9 and the introduction of web support
