Bug 283405

Summary: add task link in the code after creating task through "New Task from marker"
Product: z_Archived Reporter: Hans Harz <hansharz_bugzilla>
Component: MylynAssignee: Project Inbox <mylyn-triaged>

Severity: enhancement
Priority: P4 Keywords: helpwanted
Version: 3.2

Description Hans Harz CLA 2009-07-14 08:40:25 EDT
Build ID: Build id: 20090621-0832

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Select a Marker in the Tasks-View
2. Select "New Task from marker"
3. Enter the details and submit.

Now the code-comment is still unchanged, nothing indicates that a task has been opened.

I think it's a good idea, if the code-comment is changed to "See Case/Ticket/Bug XY".

Also the complete text of the comment should be entered into the task. Right now it's only the first line as title. If there is a longer comment, the rest of the text is completely ignored. The complete comment should be entered into the task.

See also Bug 260627.

That's an interesting idea. I don't think the code comment should be automatically changed but maybe that could be integrated as an optional feature.

Please file a separate bug for that and provide an example.

Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1].

We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub.
