In JDT's Open Type dialog, you can use the down arrow in the Pattern field to 
give focus to the list of types.  We should do the same in the Open Resource 
and Go To Resource dialogs.  

This is probably done using a traverse listener.

Added keyListener like AbstractElementListSelectionDialog.  In build > 20030121.
