PRODUCT VERSION: 0.135 Win 98 SE This seems like it should be such an easy bug to fix and quite annoying. I can't believe you haven't bothered to fix it in over a year. You are trying to get me to download the source and fix it myself aren't you. If I make a patch what are the chances that you'd take the time to put it into the build? Actually it seems that it does auto populate with the filename. The bug now comes in when you view file in resource history from cvs and open up a previous version and then try file save as. For instance I open file x.xml and then right click on it in the navigator and view in resource history. Then from RH I double click on the version of the file I would like to open, the file opens. I then from the file menu choose save as, the save as dialog comes up but the filename is unpopulated. You might want to close this bug and open this as a new one? Maybe this is really the VCM fault for not providing a filename for the resource from team->view resource history? We have no control over what happens on Save As. This implemented on a per editor basis. TextEditor.doSaveAs() attempts to cast to a IFileEditorInput to get a filename. Team guys, is there a way the text guys could get a file name from your input? Java editors showing revisions from the repository are IStorageEditorInputs which can provide an IStorage. I think IStorage has a getName, getPath that could be used to prime the dialog. Back to UI. SaveAsDialog only offers API to set the name. This PR requests to set the container field. We would need something like setFullPath(...) see also bug #2746, if anyone is considering taking this on. Tested with 4.7.M4, and the initial request seems to be properly available. |
