Description

If I am not mistaken you reported that this occurred in the Java EE RC4 package Build id: 20090611-1022 eclipse-jee-galileo-RC4-macosx-cocoa. Yes,eclipse-jee-galileo-RC4-macosx-cocoa build 20090611-1022. I did not mention that I am doing my debugging using a tomcat instance started from within Eclipse though, if that helps narrow things down. What VM/platform is tomcat running on? There are issues when debugging the Mac 1.6 VM. Sorry, I am using JDK 1.5.0 to run tomcat. Does the call stack render quickly? Does the IDE remain responsive while source lookup is happening? Is it slow to perform a standard "Open Type..." action? I'm experiencing slow down of the Eclipse as well... It basically more you're working the slower it becomes. It takes few seconds to switch between tabs, open new class file etc, etc. Anything in the error log? I also notice that Mac development is slower and more memory seems to be used. However, I have not tried to track down what it is related to. I am seeing the same. Eclipse become less and less responsive during usage. CPU load goes up to 100% when being idle or on simple redraw operations (like dragging another app window across eclipse). Is this still a problem? (In reply to comment #10) > Is this still a problem? I have not seen this issue while testing on our Mac using the 3.7RC's So it was last seen a year ago. If comes up again, please reopen. |
