Instructions on how to use p2 director to install eclipse-based producct are mentioned at http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/guide/p2_director.html.

Our installer uses p2 director to install our product into user's eclipse environemnt.

The work flows of installer are
1) creates a temporary local update site in user's temp folder
2) invokes p2 director application to install our product.
3) delete the temporary local update site in user's temp folder

After installation, we find the temporary update site entry is still kept in update manager.
Since this temporary update site entry points to non-existing folder, user are confused and have to manually delete it.

It's nice to provide an argument to instruct p2 director to remove the temporary update site entry after installation.

thanks,

Jack
