Description Kim Moir CLA 2009-05-15 11:33:11 EDT
See bug 275483 for details. A feature that has required bundles will list these bundles as included in the generated source feature. I don't know that there's a way in the feature's build.properties to specify that the bundles should be listed as required in the generated source feature.
Comment 1 Andrew Niefer CLA 2009-05-15 13:11:03 EDT
Required plugins are not included in the generated source bundle.
I believe what you meant is when adding additional bundles to the source feature using @plugin, there is no way to specify that they should be requirements instead of includes.

Proposed syntax would be something like
plugin@other.plugin;requires=true;match=compatible

The match attribute would be optional.

While I am not a committer in PDE build, I think its safe to say there are no plans to fix this, so moving to "P5" and adding "helpwanted" key word, to indicate that if this is important to anyone, they'll have to provide high quality patch and unit tests.

PDE committers, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, or mark in what ever other way is consistent with your teams triage process.

Mass change for PDE Build bugs tagged with "helpwanted". PDE build is not actively enhanced, hence I close these bugs as wontfix. Please reopen if you want to contribute a patch.
