Sometimes user interaction is required when a user validates a repository, e.g. when the repository has moved and the entered URL has changed to a redirect. In addition it would be useful to provide UI that shows all settings detected during validation, e.g.:

* JIRA version
* Character set
* Locale
* Compression enabled (requires 3.12 or later)
* Time-Tracking support (requires 3.12 or later)
* Attachment support (requires 3.7 or later)

If feasible the validation could also time the speed of the connection and indicate if synchronizations are expected to be slow.
