We'd love to see .deb tooling similar to the RPM tooling we have now.

Can we close this now? Having such bugs open for that long with noone paying attention to them is just making bug triaging harder.

Other Eclipse projects set bugs such as this to ASSIGNED to a -triaged email address.  That keeps things open, showing people we want contributions, but allows for queries that don't include this.

I'll leave it up to you, though.

Closing. noone interested and even if someone is the chances to hit this bug is too low.
