Description Pawel Pogorzelski CLA 2009-04-15 05:25:06 EDT
Build ID: N20090404-2000

Bug 261430 and bug 261143 has been opened because SaveableCompareEditorInput.handleDispose() is called twice. With the current information available from stack traces it's impossible to say if the problem is caused by the Compare code or SWT.

This bugs is about adding logs (probably with high severity) around following methods:

CompareEditorInput.createContents(Composite)
CompareEditor.doSetInput(IEditorInput)
SaveableCompareEditorInput.handleDispose()

By adding logs we want to know whether lack of synchronization is a problem or a dispose listener is registered twice or any other illegal state is encountered.

Reassigning to the default inbox as we don't plan to address the issue in 3.6.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
