When i press select for updates because i get a notice from somewhere that a specific plugin is updated

I get a list of all updated plugins (of i guess my enabled update urls) thats fine but then i dont have the option to tell in that dialog that i only want that plugin. No it wants to update everything. But thats not what i want i want to have more control.

I guess i can close down the dialog go into the preferences then disable the urls i dont want to check then do everything over again.

But then next time when i press check for updates and i didnt remember to enable the urls again. I dont get nothing but there is something so i think ok no updates.

Please give me the option to select that i only want to update A or B and not C without me changing my preferences.

you can press the "Back" button and check or uncheck any of the updates you don't want.

I realize this is not obvious at first.
In bug 260625, we are talking about opening up to the first page (rather than the second) when you use automatic updates or "Check for Updates." We would still open up to the second page when you've selected specific items in the "Installed Software" page and pressed "Update...".

I'm going to mark this as a duplicate of that bug. While not truly a duplicate, I think the plans in that bug will address your concerns. Please reopen if I've misunderstood.
