As an example, see the Class Diagram. A default drawer containing Model / Package... exists, this drawer canno't be reduced which results in loss of spaces if contained elements are not used.

You have a menu that allows user to select the different element displayed in its palette and this configuration is saved. 

Moreover I think it is related with the functionality developed by Rémi.

Yes, it is possible to select which drawers/tools should be displayed. (right button -> customize palette)
