Description
Yang Liu
Please verify that this has been fixed up for 2.1. Nick, could you advise whether we should remove this old article or replace it with an updated one? If replace, then can you find someone to write it? Thanks. The article is still relevant and useful, but definitely needs updating. In addition to the sharing of views across perspectives, the examples are IDE-centric and some of the APIs used are deprecated (or should be). E.g. the IPageLayout constants for IDE views. I'll ask around if anyone wants to update it, but we're all pretty busy with 3.1 work at the moment. Ok I'll put your name on it for now if you don't mind, feel free to redirect if you find another volunteer. Interested parties should add themselves to the cc list. It's been a while since the last update; are you still planning to do this Nick? Doesn't look like anybody's available to do this right now; reopen when someone wants to take it. LATER/REMIND bugs are being automatically reopened as P5 because the LATER and REMIND resolutions are deprecated. Can i take this up and update the article to the latest API for creating a perspective ? Do i just use the Article Template and write the article ? or is there any other format that i need to follow. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie. We're no longer taking articles for Eclipse Corner. Further, this bug has been in the system with little activity for some time. Feel free to reopen. |
