Note that you are raising a Bugzilla at Eclipse.org and we do not understand what a "Rational Requirement Composer RCP" is :-). The background color of the drawers should match the background color of your editors. The default is white on Windows XP. Not sure I understand how the background can be dark, are you saying the background of your editors is also dark? What is your background color in your views, like project explorer? We want to be able to change the background color of the drawers, to accomodate different styles of User Interface in an RCP. I'm not suggesting that the default color be changed from what it currently is, just that when the palette is reused on other products, that there be an easy way to change the background color on the drawer. The background of our editor is white.. but we want to use a darker tone in the drawer to reduce noise in this particular RCP. And being able to set the background color on the drawer would allow us to do that. I am resolving this as NOT_ECLIPSE. Please re-open it and provide details about where the GEF API is not sufficient for your use case, if this is still an issue. |
