Sometimes you just do a simple typo in the repo URL and end up having to add again the repo. This is not really ideal. It would be good if there was the ability to edit the repo information after the fact.
Note that from the repo manager, it is a removal followed by an addition.

While not exactly a duplicate of bug 271585, that is how/when this got fixed.
