Description

I agree that this would be a useful feature. I don't think we'll have time to address it in 2.1 though. I'm going to vote for this one too. In our push process we require a problem ticket number in every push comment. This is enforced by a check on the CVS server side. Currently all developers have to insert "Fixid NNNNN: " in front of the real comment in Eclipse's CVS commit dialog, and if they forget or get the format wrong they get an obscure error message (pre-commit failed). An extension point that let a plugin define an alternate commit dialog would be useful here. Related to this, it would be handy for a plugin to be able to specify additional operations that would occur everytime a file is committed -- such as applying a standard formatting to a Java file before checking it into CVS. If hooks into the CVS commit process were included, such plugins could be created. This is related to Team Policy supprt which is on the 3.1 plan (see bug 71126) *** Bug 82127 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** No time for this in 3.1 There is currently no plan to address this item Are there any plans to include this type of functionality in 3.2? No, there is still no plan to address this. As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported. Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you. |
