Each diagram of papyrus has the possibility to do the action  "Filters views...". But nothign appear in class diagram for example.
In order to fill the treeview of the dialog box. The generated code of the DiagramEditpart has to be adapted to ViewInfo.class.
And the Visual Registry has to contains a set of methods to contruct an instance of ViewInfo.class.

Template have been merged for this fucntionnality.

But in diagram editpart 
I replace line :
es.cv.gvcase.mdt.common.util.DiagramEditPartsUtil.updateDiagram(this);
by 
org.eclipse.papyrus.diagram.common.util.MDTUtil.filterDiagramViews(this.getDiagramView());

In your code your are based on the canonical edit policy of GMF. But in Papyrus, this edit policy is diconnected in order to allow a light synchronisation.
