Steps to repro:

1. select an eclipse SDK you'd like to download
2. proceed to mirror selection, eg. http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.4.1-200809111700/eclipse-SDK-3.4.1-win32.zip
3. successfully log in as a friend using bugzilla address,  	nickboldt+bugzilla@gmail.com
4. return to download page
5. note that there's still no friends of eclipse download link enabled, just the 'become a friend' link. Become sad, and download from another, slower mirror.

OR

1. http://friends.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/
2. click log in link
3. log in (again) successfully. return to friends server via large "Continue >" button
4. still no access to friends downloads. Become sadder, because this used to work when I was codeslave@ca.ibm.com.

Rereading the small print on the login page, I see:

"Although you're logged in, you're not eligible for the Friend of Eclipse Benefits. Consider becoming a Friend of Eclipse today!

"If you have recently made a donation of $35 USD or more there are sometimes unexpected delays with Paypal clearing your transaction. Please allow 2-3 business days for the payment to clear our systems. If you still need assistance with your Friends of Eclipse Login please contact friends at eclipse.org"

I paid my $35 USD on Dec 5, but it seems it's not linked to my account.

I've verified that you now have your benefits set to active.  I have a feeling this all comes back to the mess when your bugzilla login got changed.  Please verify
