Description Lars Vogel CLA 2009-01-10 18:02:02 EST
Build ID: M20080911-1700

Steps To Reproduce:
Hi,

I can put a marker in the Java coding via //TODO. The Task view allows me to create a new Mylyn Task for this. Unfortunately the Java class which contains the //TODO is not included into the Mylyn Task context.

I believe it would be better and consistent if this class would be put in the context. Please consider this feature request.

Best regards, Lars

Can you clarify in which context the Java file should appear? Would you expect the context of the task created from the marker to be pre-populated with the source file?

Hi Steffen,

yes I think that would be the right way. You create a Mylyn task for a todo in a source file. This source file should be added to the context of the new task.

Best regards, Lars

Steffen, the original issue of Lars was that if you activate a new task without any context, the context will be pre-populated with the already open files, ie all files open on activation will stay open and get part of the context.

On the other hand, if you activate a task which already had some context, all currently open files which are not part of the context will be closed.

I remember that this feature existed a while ago. If it disappeared somehow, this should be another bug IMHO.
