Description Zviki Cohen CLA 2008-11-25 01:35:21 EST
When using a password protected update site a username/password dialog is shown. There's no option to save the password.
However, if you click on Cancel, the dialog box is shown again, this time including the option to save the password (which works).

This is clearly a bug. It should behave the same and allow saving the password right away. Besides, if I cancel, why should I be asked for the credentials again?

You can try a secured update site for example:
http://update-dev.nwiresoftware.com/
username: beta
password: nwirerocks

The faulty code is likely to be in ECFTransport#download. We would appreciate if you could look at it.
