All plug-ins must correctly list their required JVM versions in the manifest.mf. See the wiki page about selecting the correct JVM.

I will ensure that this is done for all DTP plug-ins

This has been done for 85% of all DTP plug-ins and will be finished in the M6 timeframe for the remaining plug-ins. Sorry for the delay.
